Serving Time Story
Far too often caterers had to endure the unpleasantness of delayed serving time at functions.
Most often the reason is that the guests have not arrived yet.
Now beside the extra hours and the late finishing time for the staff which is of no concern to the customer, this also means that the caterer has to keep the food hot.
In the case of braai foods, this can be very troublesome because the meat could easily dry out when kept on the fire and the warmers for too long.
This could have unpleasant consequences. No caterer wants this.
One way to overcome the dilema is to be explicit in your invite with regards to serving time.
Indicate in bold what time lunch or dinner will be served,
for eg. Dinner will be served promptly at 7pm
In this way the host, the caterer and the guests are all on the same page.
